Selah and the Spades

Selah, a senior and leader of a drug-dealing group at a boarding school, finds a potential successor in Paloma, a talented photographer, who helps her by taking incriminating photos; however, suspicions arise about a possible informant within their group, which leads Selah to discover negligence from her right-hand man, Maxxie, resulting in his dismissal; after the cancellation of prom, an argument between Selah and her rival Bobby takes place, but Paloma proposes they organize their own prom, leading to a drugging incident, but ultimately, Selah and Maxxie rescue Paloma from a dangerous situation. Selah and the Spades is a 2020 American English-language Drama motion picture featuring Lovie Simone, Celeste O connor, Jharrel Jerome, Gina Torres, Jesse Williams, Ana Mulvoy Ten and Ines Rose. Argent Pictures in association with Novel Pictures and Secret Engine. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lauren Mcbride, Drew Houpt, Lucas Joaquin, Tayarisha Poe and Jill Ahrens. The motion picture is written and directed by Tayarisha Poe. Amazon Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Selah and the Spades was released on 17th April 2020 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. Cinematography was done by Jomo Fray and editing by Kate Abernathy. The music was composed by Aska Matsumiya.
