The movie follows the story of Penny Chenerys takeover of her struggling family stable, how she hires a new trainer and jockey for the horse named Secretariat, and how the horse goes on to become one of the greatest racing horses in history by winning the Triple Crown. Secretariat is a 2010 American English-language Biography Drama motion picture featuring Diane Lane, John Malkovich, Dylan Walsh, James Cromwell, Kevin Connolly, Scott Glenn and Andrena Senola. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Mayhem Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray. Secretariat is written by Mike Rich, William Nack and Sheldon Turner and it is directed by Randall Wallace. Walt Disney Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Secretariat was released on 8th October 2010 and takes a screen time of 123 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Secretariat was made on a budget of $35 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $60 million. Cinematography was done by Dean Semler and editing by John Wright. The music was composed by Nick Glennie-smith.
