A determined single man named Graham overcomes his own emotional difficulties and goes through the adoption process to adopt a troubled child named James, who has anger issues and a traumatic past, leading them to face nervousness and fears but eventually forming a bond through camping trips, meeting foster parents from James past, and caring for James dying father.
