A car dealer named Charles S. Howard meets a former boxer turned jockey, John Red Pollard, and together they turn an underdog colt named Seabiscuit into a beloved racehorse, facing challenges and triumphs on their journey. Seabiscuit is a 2003 American English-language Drama History movie starring Tobey Maguire, Jeff Bridges, Chris Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Gary Stevens, William H. Macy and Christin Taylor-antonio. The movie is inspired from Seabiscuit: An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand. Spyglass Entertainment in association with The Kennedy/Marshall Company and Touchstone Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, Gary Ross and Jane Sindell. Seabiscuit is written by Laura Hillenbrand and Gary Ross and it is directed by Gary Ross. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Seabiscuit was released on 25th July 2003 and takes a screen time of 141 minutes. The Film was successful at box office.
