Scrooged is a 1988 English-language Comedy Drama movie written by Mitch Glazer, Michael O donoghue and Charles Dickens. The movie is directed by Richard Donner and produced by Richard Donner and Art Linson under the banner of Mirage Productions. A selfish, cynical T.V. executive is haunted by three spirits bearing lessons on Christmas Eve. Scrooged stars Bill Murray in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Karen Allen, John Forsythe, Bobcat Goldthwait, Carol Kane, Robert Mitchum and Michael J. Pollard. The screenplay is written by Mitch Glazer and Michael O Donoghue which is inspired from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The music was composed by Danny Elfman. Cinematography was done by Michael Chapman and editing by Fredric Steinkamp and William Steinkamp. The film has a running time of 97 minutes. It was released on 23rd November 1988. The Film was successful at box office. Scrooged was made on a budget of $32 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $60 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Paramount Pictures.
