Scrooge, the ultimate Victorian miser, hasn t a good word for Christmas, though his impoverished clerk Cratchit and nephew Fred are full of holiday spirit. But in the night, Scrooge is visited by spirits of another color. Straightforward adaptation of Dickens Written by Rod Crawford Scrooge is a 1935 English-language Drama Family movie featuring Sir Seymour Hicks, Donald Calthrop, Robert Cochran, Mary Glynne, Garry Marsh, Oscar Asche and Robert Morley. The movie is based on A Christmas Carol 1843 novella by Charles Dickens. Scrooge was Produced by Julius Hagen. Scrooge is written by Charles Dickens and H. Fowler Mear and it is directed by Henry Edwards. Twickenham Film Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Scrooge was released on 26th November 1935 and takes a screen time of 78 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $60 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by H. Fowler Mear. Cinematography was done by Sydney Blythe and William Luff and editing by Ralph Kemplen. The music was composed by W.l. Trytel.
