A Chinese-American lesbian and her traditionalist mother are reluctant to go public with secret loves that clash against cultural expectations. Saving Face is a 2005 American English-language Comedy Drama movie starring Michelle Krusiec, Joan Chen, Lynn Chen, Jin Wang, Guang Lan Koh, Jessica Hecht and Danny Lee. Destination Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Will Smith, James Lassiter and Teddy Zee. The film is written and directed by Alice Wu. Sony Pictures Classics acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Saving Face was released on 24th June 2005 in English,Mandarin and Shanghainese languages and takes a screen time of 91 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $1 million. Cinematography was done by Harlan Bosmajian and editing by Susan Graef and Sabine Hoffmann. The music was composed by Anton Sanko.
