A gur trader named Moti tricks his business associate, Majubee, into marrying him to save money for his true love, Phoolbanu, but later divorces her when he has enough money, leading to unexpected consequences and a reconciliation with Majubee in the end. Hallmark Hall of Fame was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tarachand Barjatya. Saudagar is written by Sudhendu Roy and P.l.
