Sati Savitri

In the film, a woman named Savitri marries a man named Satyavantha who is destined to die within a year, but she cleverly convinces the god of death to grant her three boons and manages to bring her husband back to life. Sati Savitri is a 1957 Indian Telugu-language Drama film featuring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, S. Varalakshmi, S. V. Ranga Rao, Varalakshmi S., S.v. Ranga Rao, Chittor V. Nagaiah and Relangi Venkatramaiah. The movie is based on Life of Savitri and Satyavan. Varalakshmi Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) S. Varalakshmi. Sati Savitri is written by Raovuru Venkata Satyanarayana Rao and directed by Kadaru Nagabhushanam and K. B. Nagabhushanam. Chamriya Takies acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
