Saptapadhi

Saptapadi tells the story of Yajulu, a staunch believer in traditions, who undergoes a transformation when he witnesses his granddaughters pure love for a man outside her caste, causing him to question his rigid beliefs and support her relationship. Saptapadhi is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language Drama Family film featuring J.v. Somayajulu, Allu Rama Lingaiah, P. Ravi Shankar, Sabita Bhamidipati, Ravikanth, Dubbing Janaki and Ravikant. Jyothy Art Creations was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bhimavarapu Buchhireddy. Saptapadhi is written by Jandhyala Subramanya Sastry and K. Viswanath and it is directed by K. Viswanath. Jyoti Art Creations acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Saptapadhi was released on 4th June 1981. Cinematography was done by Kasturi and editing by G. G. Krishna Rao. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan along with Veturi Sundararama Murthy. At the 1982 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Film.
