An unemployed young man named Aadalarasu faces ridicule from his father, but finds support from his mother, and while staying with his fathers friend Sivaraman, he reluctantly agrees to marry Sivaramans daughter Thilaka, but their relationship improves before Aadalarasu assumes the identity of a dying man named Thirunaavukkarasu to secretly help his family.
