An interesting crime drama Salute features Vishal, Upendra, Nayantara, Kota Srinivasa Rao. This 2008 Telugu film was written and directed by A.R. Rajasekar. When an assistant commissioner of police Sathyam tries to prove the illicit activities of the Home Minister, he faces a lot of threats from the minister s henchmen. How he handles the situation and comes out victorious forms the basis of the story. It was produced by Vikram Krishna. Vishal underwent an image makeover for the movie. It was tastefully captured by R.D. Rajasekhar and edited by Anthony. Harris Jayaraj composed the music. It was released on 15 August 2008 and has a running time of 183 minutes. The movie was made on a budget of INR 27 Crores. The distribution rights were acquired by GK Film Corporation. The censor board has given a UA certificate for the movie.
