A determined Palestinian woman in a Brooklyn refugee community discovers her grandfathers frozen savings in a Jaffa bank account, prompting her to reclaim her inheritance, face societal limitations, and ultimately resort to illegal actions alongside a fellow Palestinian longing to leave Palestine. Salt of This Sea is a 2008 Arabic-language Drama Romance movie starring Suheir Hammad, Saleh Bakri, Riyad Ideis, Dana Drigov, Edna Blilious, Ishai Golan and Oz Shelach. Salt of This Sea was Produced by Jacques Bidou and Marianne Dumoulin. The motion picture is written and directed by Annemarie Jacir. Rotana Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Salt of This Sea was released on 1st September 2009 and takes a screen time of 109 min. Cinematography was done by Beno t Chamaillard and editing by Mich le Hubinon. The music was composed by Kamran Rastegar.
