Rustom

Rustom is a happy officer in the 1950s who kills his wifes lover in self-defense, goes on trial, and is ultimately declared not guilty. Rustom is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime movie starring Akshay Kumar, Ileana D cruz, Esha Gupta, Arjan Bajwa, Pavan Malhotra, Kumud Mishra and Krupesh Patoliya. The movie is based on K. M. Nanavati vs. State of Maharashtra. Zee Studios in association with KriArj Entertainment, Cape Of Good Films and Plan C Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aruna Bhatia, Neeraj Pandey, Nittin Keni, Akash Chawla, Virender Arora, Ishwar Kapoor, Shital Bhatia, Deepanshu Mishra, Prernaa Arora and Arjun N. Kapoor. Rustom is written by Vipul K. Rawal and Vipul K Rawal and it is directed by Dharmendra Suresh Desai and Tinu Suresh Desai. Panorama Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Rustom was released on 11th August 2016. The Film was successful at box office. Rustom was made on a budget of ₹73 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹124 crore. Cinematography was done by Santosh Thundiyil and editing by Shree Narayan Singh. The music was composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee along with Jeet Ganguly, Raghav Sachar, Jeet Gannguli, Ankit Tiwari and Surinder Sodhi.
