Saritha and Sudhakar fall in love and plan to get married, but their relationship suffers when it is revealed that Sudhakar is already married; in the midst of their separation, Saritha becomes unknowingly pregnant and gives birth to a baby girl, who is then given away to a cruel couple by Sarithas mother, leading to a series of events that eventually reunite Saritha and Sudhakar, but their future happiness is jeopardized by the actions of the cruel couple and the reveal of long-held secrets. Rusi Kanda Poonai is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language Drama film featuring Saritha, Sudhakar, M. R. Radha and Sarita Mukesh. Panchu Arts was the production house involved in the project. Rusi Kanda Poonai is written by Panchu Arunachalam and directed by S. P. Muthuraman. Panchu Arts acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Rusi Kanda Poonai was released on 25th December 1980.
