In the village of Bagadpur, two men named Bhawra and Kattanni are assigned to kidnap Roohi for an arranged marriage but discover she is possessed by a demon called Afza, leading them on a journey to find a way to remove the spirit from Roohis body and ultimately resulting in Roohi choosing to marry Afza. Roohi is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Horror motion picture starring Rajkummar Rao, Varun Sharma, Janhvi Kapoor, Alexx O nell, Amit Singh Kharbanda, Abhinav Chaturvedi and Hani Yadav. Maddock Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dinesh Vijan, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Roohi is written by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Gautam Mehra and it is directed by Hardik Mehta. Jio Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Roohi was released on 11th March 2021 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Roohi was made on a budget of ₹36 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹23 crore. Cinematography was done by Amalendu Chaudhary and editing by Huzefa Lokhandwala. The music was composed by Ketan Sodha along with Sachin Jigar.
