Rock On!!

Rock On!! is a story about a failed rock band that reunites after ten years, confronting personal conflicts and rediscovering their passion for music while exploring themes of friendship, perseverance, and the power of following ones dreams. Rock On!! is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language Drama Musical film featuring Arjun Rampal, Shahana Goswami, Farhan Akhtar, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Koel Purie and Micky Makhija. Excel Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Rock On!! is written by Farhan Akhtar, Pubali Chaudhuri, Abhishek Kapoor and Guy Ritchie and it is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Guy Ritchie. BIG Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Rock On!! was released on 29th August 2008 and takes a screen time of 145 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Rock On!! was made on a budget of ₹19 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹25 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Pubali Chaudhari and Abhishek Kapoor. Cinematography was done by Jason West and editing by Deepa Bhatia. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Ehsaan Noorani along with Loy Mendonsa, Shankar Mahadevan and Shankar Ehsaan Loy. At the 2009 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Cinematography. At the 2009 IIFA Awards It also won 3 awards including: Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Arjun Rampal), Best Debut Actor (Farhan Akhtar) and Best Male Debut. At the 2009 National Film Awards It also won 2 awards including: Best Supporting Actor (Arjun Rampal) and Best Regional Film (Hindi). At the 2009 Filmfare Awards It also won 4 awards including: Best Cinematography, Best Story, Best Cinematographer and Best Sound Design. At the 2009 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.
