In 2013, Carter, Kelly, and other passengers watch Samara Morgans cursed videotape on a plane, leading to a crash and everyones death; two years later, Julia discovers the tape, joins a group experimenting with it, learns about Samaras origins and the need to cremate her remains, but ultimately becomes possessed and unleashes Samara upon receiving the cursed video. Rings is a 2017 American English-language Drama Horror film featuring Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan, Vincent D onofrio and Dawn Young-mcdaniel. The movie is inspired from Spiral by K ji Suzuki. Rings was Produced by Laurie Macdonald and Walter F. Parkes. Rings is written by David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes, Akiva Goldsman and Kôji Suzuki and it is directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez and F. Javier Guti Rrez. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Rings was released on 23rd February 2017 and takes a screen time of 102 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Rings was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $83 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by David Loucka, Jacob Estes and Akiva Goldsman. Cinematography was done by Sharone Meir and editing by Steven Mirkovich and Jeremiah O Driscoll. The music was composed by Matthew Margeson.
