REDU is a story of TATU and his family, set in the mid 1970 s. Tatu, a short tempered, irate middle-aged man living in a small village, is fascinated and curious to a radio, a small portable transistor, for the first time in his life. Serendipitous circumstances allow him to possess a radio himself. The gadget makes his ordinary life full of excitement and fun. Tatu soon gets very attached to the radio, the newest member of his family. But nothing lasts forever. A sudden loss of the prized possession leaves Tatu disheartened and dejected. Refusing to accept this altered reality, Tatu embarks on a quest to reclaim what once belonged to him. Redu is a simple story of one man s life, love, values, and his will to go on, framed against the spectacular backdrop of rural Konkan. Redu is a 2018 American English-language Comedy Family movie starring Jennifer Lawrence, Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Mary-louise Parker, Jeremy Irons and Mrunmayi Arun Supal. The movie is inspired from Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews. TSG Entertainment in association with Chernin Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vidhi Kasliwal, Peter Chernin, Steven Zaillian, Jenno Topping and David Ready. The movie is directed by Francis Lawrence. 20th Century Fox acquired the distribution rights for the film. Redu was released on 18th May 2018 and takes a screen time of 140 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Redu was made on a budget of $69 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $151 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Justin Haythe. Cinematography was done by Jo Willems and editing by Alan Edward Bell. The music was composed by James Newton Howard.
