Wall Street wizard, Larry Day, new to the ways of love, is coached by his valet. He follows Vivian Benton on an ocean liner, where cocktails, laced with a love potion, work their magic. He then loses his fortune in the market crash and feels he has also lost his girl.. Written by Herman Seifer Reaching for the Moon is a 1930 American English-language Comedy Romance motion picture starring Douglas Fairbanks, Bebe Daniels, Edward Everett Horton, Claud Allister, Jack Mulhall, Walter Walker and William Begg. Joseph M. Schenck Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joseph M. Schenck and Douglas Fairbanks. The movie is directed by Edmund Goulding. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Reaching for the Moon was released on 21st February 1931 and takes a screen time of 91 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $1 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Edmund Goulding. Cinematography was done by Ray June and Robert H. Planck and editing by Hal C. Kern and Lloyd Nosler. The music was composed by Alfred Newman.
