A struggling TV channels CEOs son makes a corrupt deal with a politician to frame the Prime Minister for a terrorist attack, leading to a reporter discovering the plot and exposing the truth. Rann is a 2010 Hindi-language Drama Mystery motion picture featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Nitu Chandra, Ritesh Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, Riteish Deshmukh, Gul Panag and Siddhant Ghegadmal. The movie is inspired from Yellow journalism. Rann was Produced by Madhu Mantena Varma, Madhu Mantena and Sheetal Vinod Talwar. Rann is written by Rohit G. Banawlikar, Sarim Momin, Prashant Pandey, Sandip Singh and Vayu and it is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. PVR Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Rann was released on 29th January 2010 and takes a screen time of 137 minutes. Rann was made on a budget of ₹21 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹8 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ram Gopal Varma. Cinematography was done by Amit Roy and Amol Rathod and editing by Nipun Gupta. The music was composed by Amar Mohile along with Kumar Bapi, Dharmaraj Bhatt, Jayesh Gandhi, Bapi-tutul, Sanjeev Kohli and Imran-vikram.
