Legendary Amazons

The film follows the story of Emperor Renzong of the Song dynasty who indulges in personal pleasures, leading to government corruption and invasion by Western Xia State, while the widows of Yang clan bravely continue their husbands legacy to protect Song dynasty from foreign invasion. Legendary Amazons is a 2011 Chinese Mandarin-language Action film starring Richie Jen, Cecilia Cheung, Cheng Pei-pei, Liu Xiaoqing, Kathy Chow, Xiaoqing Liu and Fanxi Shi. Shanghai Film Group Corporation in association with Feng Huang Motion Picture Co., Beijing Century Culture Communication Co. and Ltd. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jackie Chan and Wang Tianyun. Legendary Amazons is written by Frankie Chan, Heng Liu, Liu Heng and Ma Honglu and it is directed by Frankie Chan. Legendary Amazons was released on 17th November 2011 and takes a screen time of 108 minutes. Cinematography was done by Wu Rongjie, Chen Youliang and Zhang Wenjie. The music was composed by Roc Chen.
