Ramanaa is a film depicting the fight against corruption through vigilante justice, where a professor exposes corruption in a hospital, leading to a series of kidnappings and killings by the Anti-Corruption Force, ultimately resulting in the surrender and hanging of the protagonist, while a constable who built a case against them refuses a promotion due to guilt. Ramana is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language Action Drama movie starring Vijayakanth, Simran, Ashima Bhalla, Vijayan, Yugi Sethu, Riyaz Khan and Pondy Ravi. Aascar Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) D Ramesh Babu and V. Ravichandran. Ramana is written by A. R. Murugadoss and directed by A.r. Murugadoss and A. R. Murugadoss. Aascar Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ramana was released on 4th November 2002 and takes a screen time of 180 minutes. Cinematography was done by M. S. Prabhu and editing by Suresh Urs. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja along with Ilaiyaraja.
