Rajlakshmi O Srikanta

A movie based on a novel by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay tells the story of Srikanta and his childhood love Rajlakhsmi, who ends up in her current profession due to societal pressures, poverty, and misfortune. Rajlakshmi O Srikanta is a 1958 Indian Bengali-language Family motion picture featuring Uttam Kumar, Suchitra Sen, Anil Chatterjee, Tulsi Chakraborty, Anadi Bandyopadhyay, Shambhu Bandyopadhyay and Mani Srimani. The movie is based on Shrikanta by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Srimati Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kanan Bhattachariya and Kanan Devi. The movie is directed by Haridas Bhattacharya. Rajlakshmi O Srikanta was released on 28th February 1958. Cinematography was done by G.K Mehta and editing by Santosh Ganguly. The music was composed by Gyanprakash Ghosh along with D. M. Mitholia and Shyamal Gupta.
