A bunch of high school misfits in Hawaii, introduced by their new teacher, attend a science fair in which they draw up inspiration to build their own solar car and win a trip to compete in the 1990 World Solar Challenge in Australia. Race the Sun is a 1996 English-language Adventure Comedy motion picture featuring Halle Berry, Casey Affleck, Eliza Dushku, Kevin Tighe, James Belushi, Bill Hunter and Barte Shadlow. Race the Sun was Produced by Richard Heus and Barry Morrow. Race the Sun is written by Barry Morrow and directed by Charles T. Kanganis. TriStar Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Race the Sun was released on 22nd March 1996 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $1 million. Cinematography was done by David Burr and editing by Wendy Greene Bricmont. The music was composed by Graeme Revell.
