Raaj

A young man from a village moves to the city to pursue his dream of becoming a successful actor, and after facing obstacles like his female co-star quitting and protecting her from her gangster relatives, he manages to complete the film and it becomes a huge success, ultimately returning to his village with his love interest and living happily with his family. Raaj is a 2009 Indian Kannada-language Action Drama motion picture starring Puneeth Rajkumar, Nisha Kothari, Priyanka Kothari, Adi Lokesh, Mamatha Rao, Tulasi Shivamani and Satyajith. Sri Seethabhairaveshwara Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) D. Suresh Gowda and P. Srinivas Murthy. Raaj is written by Rakshita Prem, V. Ananda Priya, V. Nagendra Prasad, Kaviraj, Suresh Gowda, P. Srinivas Murthy and V. Anand Priya and it is directed by Rakshita Prem. Jayanna Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Raaj was released on 14th August 2009 and takes a screen time of 146 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Raaj was made on a budget of ₹7 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹25 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Prem.
