A group of under-trial prisoners in India are selected to be part of a male-female musical band to perform at an Independence Day function in hopes of clearing their jail sentences. Qaidi Band is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language Drama Musical film featuring Aadar Jain, Anya Singh, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Peter Muxka Manuel, Prince Parvinder Singh, Cyndy Khojol and Hannah Chaudhary. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aditya Chopra. Qaidi Band is written by Habib Faisal and Sanjay Sharma and it is directed by Habib Faisal. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Qaidi Band was released on 24th August 2017 and takes a screen time of 119 minutes. Qaidi Band was made on a budget of ₹21 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹35 lakh. Cinematography was done by Anay Goswamy and editing by Aarti Bajaj. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Amit Trivedi along with Hitesh Modak.
