A privileged and reckless man stages his death and assumes the identity of a blind womans long-lost son, but when he returns to his palace, he discovers his father has died and he must choose between revealing his true identity and risking the officials exposing him to his blind mother. Prince is a 1969 Indian Hindi-language Musical Romance film starring Shammi Kapoor, Ajit, Rajendra Nath, Vyjayanthimala Bali, Rajendra Nath Malhotra, Helen Richardson and Saigal. Vijaya Studio in association with Mehboob Studio. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) F. C. Mehra. Prince is written by Abrar Alvi and directed by Lekh Tandon. Eagle Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Prince was released on 1st January 1969. Prince was made on a budget of ₹37 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹19 crore. Cinematography was done by Dwarka Divecha and editing by Pran Mehra. The music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
