Primal Fear

Prominent defense attorney Martin Vail takes on the case of a young altar boy accused of murdering the Archbishop of Chicago, believing in his innocence despite evidence pointing towards his guilt, only to uncover a conspiracy involving powerful figures and face a difficult choice regarding the use of a revealing videotape as evidence, resulting in the declaration of not guilty by reason of insanity, but later discovering that the accused had faked his split personalities, leaving Vail shocked and disillusioned.
