Five members of a Facebook group make a short film in a haunted mansion, but when their friend commits suicide after fraud, their neighbor John Don Bosco investigates and uncovers their true identities as culprits, leading to their arrest and peculiar deaths in prison, while three other members find John preparing to leave the mansion. Pretham 2 is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language Comedy Horror film featuring Jayasurya, Saniya Iyappan, Aju Varghese, Durga Krishna, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Sharafudheen and Parvathi Malaa. Dreams N Beyond was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jayasurya and Ranjith Sankar. The movie is directed by Ranjith Sankar. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pretham 2 was released on 21st December 2018 and takes a screen time of 133 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of ₹12 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ranjith Sankar. Cinematography was done by Vishnu Narayan and editing by V. Saajan. The music was composed by Anand Madhusoodanan.

As compared to the gripping first half, the second half is a lot more predictable.Then again, the movie leaves the audience with the feeling that the director could have explored the genre a lot better, if he wanted to do justice to the films title. ( Read More )
