The film Preetam tells the story of a marginalized milkman in rural Maharashtra who overcomes discrimination and societal pressure to find love based on inner qualities rather than physical appearance, shedding light on the emotional effects of societal beauty standards and encouraging viewers to question their own notions of beauty and treat others with acceptance and value. Preetam is a 2021 Indian Marathi-language Romance Drama motion picture featuring Susmita Chatterjee, Soumya Mukherjee, Sweta Mishra, Pranav Raorane, Nakshatra Medhekar, Upendra Limaye and Nayan Jadhav. Shree Venkatesh Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shree Venkatesh Films. The movie is written and directed by Anindya Chatterjee. Shree Venkatesh Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Preetam was released on 19th February 2021. Cinematography was done by Subhankar Bhar and editing by Arghyakamal Mitra. The music was composed by Shantanu Moitra along with and Anupam Roy.
