A bilingual Tamil and Telugu film revolves around a black magician who seeks to gain immense power by sacrificing infants born under different stars, but must now target a rare star baby to achieve ultimate omnipotence, with Pottu Amman emerging as the hero determined to save the targeted baby and the film delving into themes of faith, divine intervention, and the battle between good and evil. Pottu Amman is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language Drama movie starring Suvaluxmi, S Manivannan Rajagopal, K.r. Vijaya, Roja Selvamani and Venu Thottempudi. Mangala Productions in association with Super Hit Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) S. Mathi and Ramprasad Reddy. Pottu Amman is written by R. B. Rathan and R. Selvaraj and it is directed by K. Rajarathnam and R. K. Selvamani. Pottu Amman was released on 8th December 2000. Cinematography was done by K. Rajarathnam and editing by Anil Malnad. The music was composed by S. D. Shanthakumar.
