Four friends from a rural village decide to explore their talents by making a film on HIVAIDS, but their lighthearted comedy project takes an unexpected turn and becomes a deeply emotional and transformative experience. Popat is written by Suhas Shirwalkar, Chinmay Mandlekar, Satish Rajwade and Chinmay Kelkar and it is directed by Satish Rajwade. Everest Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Popat was released on 23rd August 2013 and takes a screen time of 160 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Chinmay Kelkar. Cinematography was done by Samalabhasker and editing by Rajesh Rao. The music was composed by Avinash Vishwajeet.
