A man named Neal Pages plans to return home for Thanksgiving are repeatedly hindered by misfortunes, leading to an unexpected friendship with a talkative and irritating man named Del Griffith, culminating in an invitation to share Thanksgiving dinner with Neals family. Planes, Trains & Automobiles is a 1987 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Steve Martin, John Candy, Laila Robins, Michael Mckean, Dylan Baker, Carol Bruce and George Sasaki. Hughes Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Hughes. The movie is written and directed by John Hughes. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
