In 1982, Sam Brenner loses a game of Donkey Kong to Eddie The Fireblaster Plant at an arcade, and years later, when aliens attack Earth by mimicking classic video games, Brenner, along with his friends, trains a team to fight back and eventually defeats the alien leader, restoring peace and becoming celebrated as heroes. Pixels is a 2015 English-language Action Comedy film featuring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Brian Cox and Raymond Olubawale. The movie is based on Pixels by Patrick Jean. Columbia Pictures in association with Happy Madison Productions, 1492 Pictures, LStar Capital and China Film Group. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Adam Sandler, Allen Covert, Chris Columbus, Mark Radcliffe and Michael Barnathan. Pixels is written by Tim Herlihy, Timothy Dowling and Patrick Jean and it is directed by Chris Columbus. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Pixels was released on 13th August 2015 and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Pixels was made on a budget of $88 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $244 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling. Cinematography was done by Amir Mokri and editing by Hughes Winborne. The music was composed by Henry Jackman.
