Rudra seeks justice for his daughters brutal rape at the hands of his rich employers sons, but faces obstacles and ultimately takes matters into his own hands, resulting in his arrest and eventual release. Pitaah is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama motion picture starring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nandita Das, Om Puri, Mink Singh, Sachin Khedekar and Vineet Kumar Singh. Pitaah was Produced by Avinash Adik. Pitaah is written by Ravi Shankar Jaiswal, Mahesh Manjrekar, K.k. Singh, Teja and K. K. Singh and it is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Pitaah was released on 4th January 2002 and takes a screen time of 127 minutes. Pitaah was made on a budget of ₹7 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹4 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Teja. Cinematography was done by Vijay Kumar Arora and editing by V. N. Mayekar. The music was composed by Anand Raj Anand along with and Rahul Ranade.
