An earthquake in Lake Victoria unleashes a school of prehistoric piranhas and chaos ensues as a group of college students and a pornographer arrive for spring break. Piranha 3D is a 2010 American English-language Comedy Horror movie featuring Elisabeth Shue, Steven R. Mcqueen, Adam Scott, Jessica Szohr, Jerry O connell, Kelly Brook and Devanny Pinn. The movie is based on Piranha by John Sayles. The Weinstein Company in association with Atmosphere Entertainment, Chako Film Company and Intellectual Properties Worldwide. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alexandre Aja, Mark Canton, Marc Toberoff and Gr Gory Levasseur. Piranha 3D is written by Peter Goldfinger, Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger and it is directed by Alexandre Aja. The Weinstein Company acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Piranha 3D was released on 3rd September 2010 and takes a screen time of 88 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Piranha 3D was made on a budget of $24 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $83 million. Cinematography was done by John R. Leonetti and editing by Baxter. The music was composed by Michael Wandmacher.
