A marijuana enthusiast witnesses a murder, and with his dealer, tries to escape the drug lord who wants to find them due to a rare strain of marijuana they left behind, leading to a series of obstacles and confrontations with various gangs before they reconcile and get rescued. Columbia Pictures in association with Relativity Media and Apatow Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Judd Apatow and Shauna Robertson. Pineapple Express is written by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Judd Apatow and it is directed by David Gordon Green. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pineapple Express was released on 6th August 2008 and takes a screen time of 112 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Pineapple Express was made on a budget of $27 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $101 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
