Piku is about a daughter, Piku Banerjee, who takes care of her hypochondriac father, Bhashkor, and their journey to Kolkata where Bhashkor dies, and Piku renames their Delhi home in his memory. Piku is a 2015 Hindi-language Comedy Drama movie. Piku was released on 7th May 2015 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Piku was made on a budget of ₹25 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹141 crore. At the 2016 Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Actor (Amitabh Bachchan) and Best Film. At the 2016 Filmfare Awards It also won an award for Best Actress (Deepika Padukone). At the 2016 National Film Awards It also won 3 awards including: Best Actor (Amitabh Bachchan), Best Screenplay (Original) and Best Screenplay (Dialogues). At the 2016 IIFA Awards It also won 2 awards including: Best Actress in a Leading Role (Deepika Padukone) and Best Story. At the 2016 Filmfare Awards It also won 3 awards including: Best Dialogue, Best Screenplay and Best Background Score.
