Perarasu

An investigative thriller follows CBI officer Kasi Viswanathans mission to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of Judge Sadhasivam, as he teams up with DCP Kesavan Nair and head constable Kandhasamy to solve the case, only to discover that a corrupt state minister and three senior police officers are involved, leading to a chain of events where suspicion falls on Kasi, the revelation of a lookalike murderer, and ultimately Kasi sacrificing himself to save the minister while his twin brother takes the blame and dies, allowing Kasi to marry the heroine and become the new chieftain in his native village. Perarasu is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language Action Sci-Fi motion picture featuring Vijayakanth, Debina Bonnerjee, Prakash Raj, Sarath Babu, Anandaraj, Pandiarajan and R. Pandiaraajan. Roja Combines was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kaja Mohideen. The movie is written and directed by Udhayan. Perarasu was released on 25th August 2006 and takes a screen time of 150 minutes. Cinematography was done by M. V. Panneerselvam and editing by Anil Malnad. The music was composed by Pravin Mani.
