A poor farmer named Natha plans to commit suicide to save his familys land, but his story becomes a media frenzy and political ploy, ultimately leading to his escape and his family losing their land. Peepli Live is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film starring Omkar Das Manikpuri, Raghubir Yadav, Shalini Vatsa, Malaika Shenoy, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Naseeruddin Shah and Ajay Pal. Aamir Khan Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. Peepli Live is written by Bhadwai, Swanand Kirkire, Noon Meem Rashet, Anusha Rizvi, Gangaram Sakhet and Sanjeev Sharma and it is directed by Anusha Rizvi and Mahmood Farooqui. UTV Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Peepli Live was released on 13th August 2010 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Peepli Live was made on a budget of ₹10 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹46 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Anusha Rizvi. Cinematography was done by Shanker Raman and editing by Hemanti Sarkar. The music was composed by Ram Sampath along with Indian Ocean, Brij Mandal, Bhadwai and Nagin Tanvir.
