Pee Mak Phrakanong

Mak served in the war during the beginning of the Rattanakosin Dynasty. At war he became friends with Ter, Puak, Shin, and Aey, whose lives he saved. Once the war was over, Mak invited his four friends into his home in Phra Khanong town and introduced them to his beautiful wife Nak and his newborn baby boy Dang. A rumor was going around in the village that Nak had died giving birth to her stillborn baby, Dang. The source of this rumour; Aunty Priak, owner of local liquor store was found dead floating on the river a few days later. The four friends felt it s time to tell Mak the possibility of Nak and Dang could be dead and lingered as haunting ghosts and risk their lives. It s up to Mak to choose love or reality. Written by anonymous Pee Mak Phrakanong is a 2013 Thai-language Comedy Horror motion picture featuring Mario Maurer, Davika Hoorne, Pongsathorn Jongwilas, Nattapong Chartpong, Auttarut Kongrasri, Kantapat Permpoonpatcharasook and Sean Jindachot. GMM Tai Hub in association with Jorkwang film. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jira Maligool, Chenchonnee Suntonsaratoon, Suwimon Techasupinun, Pran Thadaweerawutar and Vanridee Pongsittisak. Pee Mak Phrakanong is written by Nontra Khumvong, Banjong Pisanthanakun and Chantavit Dhanasevi and it is directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun. GMM Tai Hub acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pee Mak Phrakanong was released on 13th June 2013 and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Pee Mak Phrakanong was made on a budget of $1 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $33 million. Cinematography was done by Narupon Sohkkanapituk and editing by Tummarut Sumetsuppasok. The music was composed by Chatchai Pongpraphaphan along with Hualampong Riddim.
