A group of friends living in Pattaya struggle to find a place to stay and end up fulfilling a dream of a child. Paying Guests is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film starring Shreyas Talpade, Vatsal Seth, Javed Jaffrey, Ashish Chaudhary, Celina Jaitly, Riya Sen and Lalit Kumar Malla. The movie is inspired from Sailesh Dey s Bengali play Joymakali Boarding. Mukta Arts was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Subhash Ghai and Raju Farooqui. Paying Guests is written by Wajid Ali, Lawrence John, Rashid Khan, Paritosh Painter, Jalees Sherwani and A.k. Upadhyay and it is directed by Paritosh Painter. Paying Guests was released on 19th June 2009. Paying Guests was made on a budget of ₹11 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹5 crore. Cinematography was done by Selva Kumar and editing by Manish More. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Wajid Ali along with Sajid Wajid.
