His suspicions are roused when a British archeologist appears, who may not be quite what he ms. Written by Cleo Pascalis Island is a 1988 English-language Drama film featuring Ben Kingsley, Charles Dance, Helen Mirren, Kevork Malikyan, George Murcell, Nadim Sawalha and Kostis Savvidakis. The movie is based on Pascali s Island by Barry Unsworth. Channel Four Films in association with Dearfilm. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tania Blunden, Paul Raphael and Mirella Sklavounou. The film is written and directed by James Dearden. Avenue Pictures Productions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The movie has a running time of 104 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $1 million. Cinematography was done by Roger Deakins and editing by Edward Marnier. The music was composed by Loek Dikker.
