Parichay

A retired colonel hires a tutor for his five grandchildren but struggles to find someone who can handle their behavior until Ravi wins them over by befriending them and breaking Rai Sahabs strict house rules, ending with Rama and Ravi reuniting at the railway station and audiences being invited to their wedding. Parichay is a 1972 Indian Hindi-language Drama Family motion picture starring Jaya Bhaduri, Jeetendra Kapoor, Pran Krishan Sikand, A.k. Hangal, Veena Kumari, Dev Kishan and Gita Siddharth. The movie is based on Bengali novel Rangeen Uttarain by Raj Kumar Maitra. Tirupathi Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) V. K. Sobti. Parichay is written by R.k. Mitra, Gulzar Kalra and D.n. Mukherjee and it is directed by Gulzar Kalra. Parichay was released on 18th October 1972 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes.
