The film explores the story of a child star named Baby Kusum who is actually a boy, and his struggle to become a hero despite pressure and ridicule from his family and the Indian film industrys practice of casting children in roles contrary to their natural genders. Pankh is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language Drama motion picture featuring Bipasha Basu, Maradona Rebello, Lilette Dubey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ronit Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Raj Magnani. Pankh was Produced by Sanjay Gupta. Pankh is written by Sudipto Chattopadhyay, Sudipto Chattopadhyaya and Varun Gautam and it is directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyay and Sudipto Chattopadhyaya. Eros Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pankh was released on 2nd April 2010 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. Pankh was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹15 lakh. Cinematography was done by Somak Mukherjee and editing by Sanjib Datta and Bunty Nagi. The music was composed by Raju Singh.
