A female photographer gets lost in a jungle and forms an unexpected bond with a young elephant while struggling to survive, highlighting the importance of nature conservation and human resilience. The movie is based on The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. New Line Cinema in association with Ingenious Film Partners and Scholastic Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bill Carraro and Deborah Forte. The movie is directed by Chris Weitz. New Line Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Panchami was released on 6th March 2015 and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Panchami was made on a budget of ₹18 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹37 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Chris Weitz.
