A man named Bhola tries to win his neighbor Bindus heart by mimicking songs, but she eventually agrees to marry his uncle until Vidyapathi fakes Bholas suicide to stop the wedding. Padosan is a 1968 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Musical motion picture featuring Sunil Dutt, Saira Banu, Kishore Kumar, Om Prakash, Mehmood Ali, Om Prakash Chibber and Saigal. The movie is inspired from Pasher Bari by Arun Chowdhury. Padosan was Produced by Mehmood and N. C. Sippy. Padosan is written by Rajendra Krishan and Rajinder Krishan and it is directed by Jyoti Swaroop. Kailash Dossani Investments Pvt. Ltd. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Padosan was released on 29th November 1968 and takes a screen time of 157 minutes. The film made a box office gross of ₹2 crore. Cinematography was done by K. H. Kapadia and editing by D. N. Pai. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman along with R. D. Burman.
