The Maratha Empire achieved great success under the leadership of Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao, but faced defeat in a final confrontation with Ahmad Shah Abdali after forming alliances with other kingdoms. Paani is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language Horror Drama motion picture featuring Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon, Heena Dsouza, Sonali Sharmistha Mohanty, Veen and Sushant Singh Rajput. Paani was Produced by Aditya Chopra, Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar. Paani is written by Shekhar Kapur, Ashok Chakradhar, Chandrashekhar Dhavalikar, Ranjeet Bahadur, Aditya Rawal and Ashutosh Gowariker and it is directed by Shekhar Kapur and Ashutosh Gowariker. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Paani was released on 21st November 2022 and takes a screen time of 162 minutes. Paani was made on a budget of ₹92 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹49 crore. Cinematography was done by C. K. Muraleedharan and editing by Steven Bernard. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with Ajay Atul.
