A small town couples love story is halted when the wife falls sick and dies, but she later experiences the afterlife and returns to consciousness to remember it all. Our Town is a 1940 American English-language Drama Romance film featuring William Holden, Martha Scott, Fay Bainter, Beulah Bondi, Thomas Mitchell, Guy Kibbee and Charline Flanders. The movie is based on Our Town by Thornton Wilder. Sol Lesser Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sol Lesser. The movie is directed by Sam Wood. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Our Town was released on 24th May 1940 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $2 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Harry Chandlee, Frank Craven and Thornton Wilder. Cinematography was done by Bert Glennon and editing by Sherman Todd. The music was composed by Aaron Copland.
